Went with six guys. Thought it was overall a great college town and experience. We hung out at the K-State bar downtown before the game and then tried to take the light rail which broke down halfway through our ride. We ended up walking through all of the tailgates which was interesting. Half of their fans were overly nice and welcoming. The other half (the students and 20-somethings) were weirdly hostile and angry. In the span of 45 minutes we told to f-off, welcomed, berated, invited to try moonshine, shouted at, high fived, called gay, given beers, told to go back to kansas, and thanked for coming. It was very confusing. The stadium was kind of ordinary, but it was packed and very loud at times. They sell beer which was great (why don't we do this!?!?!). After the game we were largely left alone to mourn the loss. Never felt unsafe. I'd recommend this trip to anyone considering it for the future.
