Obviously you can make a case for anyone in the mix if you site the right criteria. The bottom line is there is no specific criteria so there will always be reasonable arguments for anyone. But the one constant is the traditional powers have an undeniable advantage. The Big 12 has a better chance if Oklahoma wins tonight than if Oklahoma State wins. If Notre Dame beats Stanford they MIGHT keep Oklahoma ahead of them, but there is NO WAY Oklahoma State moves ahead of them if the Cowboys win. And don't tell me about their schedules. If Oklahoma State would have played Oklahoma's schedule and had exactly the same results there is still NO WAY Oklahoma State beats out Notre Dame.

The only way it is fair for everyone is to have a playoff with conference champions ONLY. At large teams are the root of all evil.
