I wrote a story back in September about the dozen or so potential black nominees coming to the Oscars. After the debacle of last Oscar season, things are going to be quite different when we get to February 2017.

Hollywood is now Quotawood. I want to protest that there are not more Asian American or Mexican American or Irish American actors and actresses nominated.
With that said when I watch a Denzel Washington performance I never think of him as an African American. He is just one hell of a leading man. Training Day, American Gangster, Remember The Titans, The Pelican Brief, Philadelphia, and my favorite Crimson Tide he is just one of the best actors in the business.
