Is why Snyder says he wants Sean to take over and yet doesn't seem to be setting him up to succeed.
I don't want Sean to be the next coach but if that's how it goes down I do want him to succeed. So to me it's logical that if Coach wants Sean to be successful he would have made several changes such as:
1. Have a younger staff that goes and recruits hard and can get trained by one of the greatest coach of coaches.
2. Allow Sean to essentially choose those young coaches and let folks know that Sean had "input" in those hires.
3. Make his annual announcement before the end of the regular season, or at bare minimum within 2-3 days of the last regular season game so early signing period recruits know what is up.
Those would all be changes I would support because if we're going to be stuck with Sean he will be in a much better position and if we actually go out and find a coach - Leavitt, Venables or someone completely different - those guys would would also step into a better set up.
What am I missing???
