Insiders tell GN that word is starting to fly that Kansas State coach Bill Snyder will step down — this time for good — at the end of the season.
Snyder, who turned 76 on Oct. 7, “retired” once before, after the 2005 season. But he returned to the sideline in 2009. His Wildcats are 3-3 this season and have lost three in a row. They were blasted 55-0 Saturday by Oklahoma at home, the worst home loss in Snyder’s career at K-State.
He is 190-97-1 in his 24 seasons at the school (1989-2005, 2009-present).
