I've been thinking about why I was so fired up about Ertz the past few seasons, and I think it can be directly attributed to Stan consistently praising him and hyping him up before anyone ever saw him.
I don't remember the exact quotes and maybe someone can help me with that, but I remember quotes about him being the fastest QB we've ever had, etc... I just remember a significant amount of hype from Stan about him.
Now, I see Stan saying things like "we have 4 legit Rb's" earlier this season, which is also completely false.
Is it more believable that Stan just doesn't know talent evaluation at all, or is he just doing his job hyping the team? I have to believe it's a fair amount of both, but either way, I'm looking to essentially start ignoring the majority of the Stan Weber hype, because it doesn't appear to be accurate at all when we finally get to see the player.
Anyone remember any other players he was hyping? Maybe Silmon, or someone like that?
