While many of you feel a change is necessary in the HC position the real change will come in 2022 or possibly earlier when the next full wave of realignment takes place and TV contracts are up in the air.
1. It will not matter if our coach is Jim Leavitt or Brent Venables ...we will be stepping down to the "other 5".
2. No "real" national following therefore our value to advertisers is poor.
3. The number of TV sets in Kansas and the KC and Wichita metros is insignificant.
4. Whoever is the next head coach will move on before this next "wave" hits.
Leavitt, who will be 61 years old soon, may take this job for 4-5 years at 2- 3 million plus and then sail off into retirement A good strategy on his part.
While nothing is guaranteed in life I'm all in on this scenario no matter what success we have. Its all about the $'s!
