Sure, Gene appears to be a lower energy, less visible and less accessible version of Tim Weiser.
And while Tim Weiser may go down as one of the worst AD’s of all time and the man who took more hunting trips than donor visits, hired Ron Prince and wrote a 5 year guaranteed contract on the back of napkin, let us not forget that he ALSO did deliver us Bob Huggins, who in turn resurrected our basketball program. And look how well that worked out!!!
Also, I defy anyone to find another public figure in 2017 that can rock an undershirt game better than Gene Taylor. Just an awesome vibe of zero effs given and I like that. Like the total opposite of Currie’s untailored seersucker suit worn past labor day.
So, in summary, I literally have no idea whatsoever about the strategic plan for our athletic department but maybe he will fix our basketball program and he is dressed like a champ. Those things get me excited.
