I always want K-State sports to do well. I am not a big fan of Weber, but I have defended him and have had the stance that he deserves one more year to right the ship. We aren't that far removed from our first conference championship in a LONG time. Yes, with other coaches players but I am not sure Martin could have coached that team to a conference title. But now with everyone gone and basically starting over from scratch (seems like the death penalty but with scholarships available), when do you cut ties with the coach?
This is going to take 3-4 years minimum to dig out of, and I think we can all agree that next year is going to suck. I was on the side of keeping Weber for another year, but now with all the defections I have moved over to the side of starting over with a new staff and coach if we are starting over with all new players.
That is if there is someone out there that we could get that would be better or potentially have more upside. Not sure if there is that candidate out there or who it would be.
