Yesterday was particularly disturbing because it came at Home, with a double digit lead, to a first year head coach. A first year coach that was apparently more capable of making the necessary game adjustments to win.
This is not one game in isolation. This a recurring, ongoing problem and yesterday’s failure was just the most recent example.
Here’s what we know.
We are vastly deficient in talent in comparison to the top half of an average P5 league (recruiting).
We continue to make extremely bizarre personnel decisions(coaching).
We are completely incapable at this stage of making game planning decisions and adjustments that result in a position to win (coaching).
There are no moral victories and there is no sunny outlook here. And if you are trying to chalk one up, you are being completely and totally intellectually dishonest about the predicament we are facing.
