Some on this board who don't understand the power impact and positive force he breathes into this program, who don't know that this is the only man who has done anything close to this in almost 150 years of D1 football in Kansas...somehow think this amazingly close to success challenging year (one that would have destroyed all but the elite programs in the country) says that this Legend needs to leave?
All I can do is feel bad for them....that they don't understand that this website on which the debate and argue, this program, this school and Manhattan KS all either don't exist or are a shell of what they are today without Coach. They simply do not grasp the impact this man has had on hundreds of thousands of lives for the good and in the end that is their loss.
Personally my success in my job is founded in many of the principles of his consistent positive focused message.
When this man retires he will have given us the foundation to be something beyond the ISU's of the world (definitely I cannot see us in my lifetime sinking to the depth of a KU).... while I am hopeful we can do it history shows .....well....all I can say is enjoy and cherish every minute of this man. If you do not or cannot understand I really really feel bad because you have lost out on something special .
