I was telling you all week that this game was going to be a dog fight. In typical TCU fashion on the road they played just good enough to win last night. They have now trailed in 5 of their last 7 road games against P5 opponents. Some how, some way they keep coming up with with ways to come back and win. I guess that is what good teams do, but it certainly feels like we let this one slip away.

A couple of statistical observations from the 4th quarter:
* We had 10 carries for 1 yard.
* It took us three tries to gain 2 yards on our final TD.
* The one yard gain on 4th and 1 was not a sure thing.

As for overtime...
* The cats were 6 for 6 on red zone chances with 5 TDs.
* Playing at home.
* With OT experience.

In hindsight it didn't work to play for OT, but their was some logic behind the call. The problem is we let them shred us on another big play after we tied it up. That hurt. TCU is the #2 team in the nation for a reason. Boykin and Doctson are both going to end the year winning (or being in the running) for major awards for a reason. They are good.

I can not understand what the offensive coaches were trying to do after half. It is mind bottling.
Rushing Stats at halftime: 28 carries 165 yards, Avg: 5.89 ypc
Passing: 8-15 for 101 yards.
We have an 18 point lead.
We know Joe Hubener has a career completion percentage of less than 50%.
We know TCU has an explosive offense that we need to keep off of the field.
We know we can run the ball on them.

We attempted 11 passes in the 3rd quarter!!! Why!??! We only completed one of them, which speaks to poor execution, but the game plan through that stretch was terrible.

At least we covered, but the win would have been nice.

On to focusing on Oklahoma.
