First off, I'll say that I don't know that I believe this as I have not seen it mentioned here and it just doesn't seem likely to me, however it did come directly from a fan favorite former football player from the mid to late 90s that is still connected to the program.
In any case, he says that Coach is going to announce his retirement on August 1st (yes, that specific) and turn the reins over to Sean as the "interim" for the season. I argued that this didn't make any sense. He agreed that there was no way fans and donors would be happy about that and he admitted that he is pissed about it and will not set foot in Manhattan until that is rectified should it actually happen.
Anyone else heard anything like that?
