My Father is a Golden Cat and sponsor of one of the lockers in the new Vanier Complex so we were able to take a tour Saturday Morning before the game. I have to say that watching videos and looking through pics from others really doesn't do this facility justice. It was absolutely amazing. The fact that there is still more to come is almost unreal.
Having said that of all of the AWESOME things we saw, there were just a few things that really hit me for some reason.
- A message above the doors inside the weight room speaking about getting the absolute most out of each day and not being afraid to utilize God in several messages.
- My Father standing next to the locker baring his name was really great, but seeing Dylan Meier's name on a locker was really touching. So glad his family took the time to do that in his memory.
-Finally, The People. Polite and articulate to the last person from every phase of the experience. It makes you very proud to know that you're supporting a system that is pushing to keep some very strong values together from the bottom to the top.
Congrats on such a fine job on the entire project, I can't wait to see what's next. GO CATS!
