Just bought an old travel trailer over the weekend and am looking to get new tires for it.
I see the D load trailer tires are around 2100 pounds each. The trailer is around 6500 pounds, so I'm guessing you total the weight of the four tires and it has to be higher than the weight of the trailer? Otherwise, I'm an idiot and need someone to explain it to me.
I already went WAY overkill and put a 5,000 pound trailer jack on the front of it, replacing the 2k pound one that stripped out.
Looking to avoid overkill again.
