For reasons that have been well covered it makes a lot of sense for us to explore transfer LB possibilities this spring and summer.
We were in a tough spot to try to recruit any immediately eligible transfers, including jucos, in this recruiting class due to the fact that we essentially return three starters from last year.
Seniors: Hughes, Sullivan, Patton, Gallon
Juniors: Fletcher
Sophomores:
Redshirt Freshmen: Green
True Freshmen: Archer, Duke
That those returning starters will all be seniors makes us an ideal destination for LB transfers who have to sit for a year, though. Here's a list of uncommitted transfer LBs from the portal...all from the recruiting classes of 2017 or 2018.
The teammates:
As seen above, our 2019 sophomore class (where these class of 2017 recruits would end up) is empty, and bracketed by classes with just one each, so we could certainly accommodate more than one transfer LB on the roster. Sounds like Manny Diaz and Miami may have the inside track on these two, though.
It appears that Fisher has settled at Trinity Valley juco. He redshirted this past season at Arkansas, so it makes sense that he would go juco where he can play this year and then move on next Dec.
Was hoping for an offer from Louisville last fall but I don't think it came. Wanted to transfer for the spring semester. High school teammate of Malik Knowles.
Class of 2018...would be a soph in 2020. Just announced transfer last week. Colin Klein was at this high school recently...it was one of several he hit on a little Cali tour.

Announced two weeks ago. Was once committed to Michigan but de-committed and then lost the offer.
