The Northwestern site did an update on Tre Bryant that is on the ticker after the running back recently narrowed his choices down to finalists Kansas, K-State, Minnesota, Northwestern, and Syracuse.
In the article, Bryant broke down what he likes about each school and said some very positive things about K-State - factors that could go a long way. Maybe most telling tidbit of all though was the following...
"Bryant says that he isn't sure if he will make it up to Minnesota for a visit this summer, so an official visit to Minneapolis is a possibility for the fall. He also said Kansas State is sure to get an official. Beyond that, he isn't sure where else he will take his officials or how many he will take."
Wildcat fans really need to keep up with this recruitment because not only is he high on K-State, but I've heard he's one of the staff's top prospects on the board as well. When all is said and done, it wouldn't surprise me if Bryant rises into the Show-Me State Top 10 and (with a similar season to those he's already had) could make an argument for the Top 5 or 7 -- and it's a pretty good year in Missouri too.
He'll be participating in Nike's "The Opening" coming up next week. Duke Shelley was there last year and, if memory serves me correct, it's usually broadcast nationally on ESPNU.
