and most are generally wrong... I've found the conversations and predictions to be mostly pretty fascinating... then the character attacks on posters, based on trends and predictions that are generally wrong, even more so... in order of the most fascinating to least
1. GPC underrates the Defense
This one is crazy as this board (obviously) leans positive.... but from the few people who feared losing to utsa (lol) including somebody somehow predicting 30 + points on the K-State defense to the general prediction threads that seem to be pretty pessimistic on the defense.... Which is strange.. a defense that has shown up like this should be generally pumped up far beyond logical reasonings to the pumper side....
Big12 ranks for K-State defense
Yards per carry - 1st
yards per pass attempt - 3rd
sack percentage - 3rd (17th in country)
yards per play - 2nd
With the lack of turnovers forced (biggest weakness) this probably isn't a top25 defense by the end of the year... but it's a legit defense that shouldn't be letting up 25+ points to a LA tech team... in fact, I think they can set a goal of 17 and try and play to that.. frankly, i think they can churn any non-elite offense with depth and attacking
2. GPC overrates the offense
This one is not surprising, as it is taking something that is not even average and pretending it's good

yards per rush attempt - 6th
yards per pass attempt - 4th
qb rating - 8th
10+ yards from scrimmage plays (total) - 9th
the offense, as currently constructed, isn't very good... the best possible news out of last week was Silmon/Warmack and Heath/Davis... those 4 must play to take pressure off of Hubs.. without them, hubs has to be great.. and that's too big of an ask I think
3. Missing the impact of key players --- and overrating others
Bryant for sure.... but hell, people defended Jones and the older WRs... and it's been all younger guys (or davis)...
but Bryant has been a stud.... somebody was offended that I said he was better than mueller.. and he's on pace to be this year already..
I also think Geary, despite getting some attention on GPC, is being underated simply because that dude is going to destroy any non-elite athletic interior o-line... he may not be the best player the other team faces, but i suspect he's one of the most annoying
