I cannot believe all the negativity on this sight after what we just accomplished. I realize this is a sports web sight for a lot of people to post, as if their opinions make a difference as to what K-State athletics is all about, it has no impact whatsoever. Not a one of you on this board expected an elite 8 finish and you do not have a reason to complain, other than you wanted more as we all did.
I am an 80 year old alum and have witnessed more than most of you. I appreciate what K-State is and represents in the real world and value our standing in the real world, We are not a blue blood cheating university that is willing to sacrifice our ethical and moral standing to achieve national recognition of our athletic teams. It is fun to be a fan of athletics(I am as nutty as the next) but it is not worth complaining and belittling coaches and individuals who have represented our university so well.
K-State is known for producing young adults who are recruited for their morals, work ethic, readiness to produce in this competitive world. That is who we are and always have been. I happen to value this in our university more than winning every game. I think we have a right to have an expectation of competiveness in our athletic programs, but to be so critical of success is not who we are.
We have some so called T-shirt fans, but our fans shirts are dirty because we are the hard working, high standard people of middle America. Lets keep our comments to the standards that True K-Staters represent.
