Many accusations have been made on this forum about the Democrats wanting to impeach trump even before he was elected.
I have found evidence that this partially correct. There was talk of impeaching trump.
From Virginia Heffernan of the LA Times:
"And the impeachment drumbeat did start before trump took office-during that endless migraine of an autumn in 2016. But it was not coming from the democrats.
"The GOP needs to elect trump, then impeach him," wrote Jonathan Ashbach, a writer for The Federalist, a conservative online magazine, in October of that year.
