I know most on this board have probably already thought or said this, but if K-State makes the tournament this year:
Frank Martin 117-54 .684
Bruce Weber 99-67 .596
Frank Martin = 3 more wins per year (1 of which was the NCAA tournament typically).
Again, kind of amazing given the decimation of 2015....brought on by Weber's recruits.
Not making a case to keep him by the way. BUT, I do think we have to be careful to get the right guy at the right time. I'll leave that up to smarter people than me.
- He will have made the tournament 3 of the 5 years that he's been here (within 1 of Frank Martin)
- He will have won a Big 12 conference championship (not matched by Frank Martin)
- He will have won Big 12 Coach of the Year (same as Frank Martin)
- He will have done both of the above while actually completely decimating his roster and starting from scratch (rebuilt within 2 years)
- He will be within one NCAA tournament of matching what Frank Martin did with Bob Huggins/Dalonte Hill recruits
