I know there has been a ton of these posts in the past, but I'd really appreciate some help on this one. We had a contractor at our house the other day and he dropped a level on our tv and cracked the frame. So unfortunately for him he has to buy us a new one. The TV he broke was less than a year old, and was a 60" Samsung LED 1080p Smart TV ... I'm planning to go up a notch to a Samsung 65", but here are the questions I'm wrestling with now (please note, I'm sticking w/ Samsung so not all that interested in brand input):

1. Is 4K UHD that much better than regular HD?
2. Does a curved TV really have any extra benefit to justify the price difference?
3. I tend to buy the warranty ... good move or not? Seems to make sense at places like Sam's Club, Costco, amazon, etc., but way more expensive at Best Buy. Obviously didn't work out for me in this broken TV case.
4. Suggestions on best way to get my broken screen fixed so I can put it in our bedroom, if at all?

Thank you in advance!
