Seriously, what a colossal crapping of the bed by our USMNT last night. I guess it's a perfect culmination of the crappiness that has been this World Cup qualifying cycle for us.
I'm a casual soccer fan, who really loves the World Cup. It's really a shame that the US will not be part of it next year. Our Men's National Team program has been holding on to some of the "old guard" players for far too long. It's time to let them all go to pasture, and start a new with the young bunch. I don't need to see Dempsey, Bradley, Altidore, Gonzalez, or any of the rest of them any more. There's no "hunger" in that bunch. They're just happy to be out there and go through the motions.
I hope the team and program, cleans house from top to bottom. To have soccer in the US grow to what it is today, and let this happen, is just inexcusable.
