I always liked doing these and seeing what others thought of away games facilities, fans and stadiums.
First stadium - very small, decent sight lines. We we're in the south end zone and could really see a lot. However the seats were super uncomfortable, not too much leg room, seating was a bit thinner than the bill. We had a lot of walkway traffic right in front of us. So always some type of schenanigans or crowd, sucked. Where we were seats 1 and 2 fans had to go through our seating to get to their spots in stead of the stairs that were near spot 30 as we were up against railings, which is fine considering they never sale out but having to move often or their fans just letting themselves through was annoying. One of the ushers said the stadium is the oldest in the SEC, it showed. Sidelines are super small, not a lot of room. Cheerleaders cheer to a wall.. kinda sad. The big screen was big but for today's stadiums, it's small. They did have a decent sound system.
Facilities- bathrooms were a joke, we had 5 urinals and 5 toilets. The bathroom lines were wrapped around the inside of the stadium. The concessions weren't to great either. They ran out of water by halftime. not anything impressive here. I think their baseball stadium next door had better everything.
Fans- we did meet some really great people this weekend. However, our section had some of the most arrogant assholes. I had a lady spill her pretzel, hot dogs, and hot cheese all over me, not even apologize and just keep walking after looking at me.. holy shit I was pissed. Had another group of guys being completely belligerent (sober too) trying to start fights with KSU fans. Not to mention the people who just kinda pushed through people to get up to their seats. That being said, KState students who were drunk and in our section caused a lot of problems. I'm only 30 and I was wanting to whip the shit out of some of these kids for being such a negative representative of Kansas State. Security had to constantly remove them for being disrespectful to Vandy fans. Their student section was the smallest I've ever seen. Kinda sad
Pre game- eh.. nothing exciting honestly. Band seemed kinda small and unimpressive. They don't really have any traditions from talking to their staff there. It was definitely a meh experience.im sure if they keep winning a lot of that will change.
Campus- actually a really cool campus. Kind if small compared to how spread out ours is. Nice buildings and landscaping. Students were all nice from what we met.
Over all Nashville is impressive, a cool destination. Would have been a better experience had we won. Overall honestly I think it's kind of a KU type football feel with a much better team.
