I posted this at the time of the hire... But interesting looking back on this. A good friend of mine at work is a Philly boy and a big Temple football fan. He was close with Matt Rhule when he was there. I texted him about the Ward hire when it was made and he basically said, "Glad to see him - and anyone else associated with the old staff - gone."
I'd say to date, the guy has been a home run and a huge energy boost we needed at a critical position.
I'll be curious to see how this translates to results on the field - which is where my friend had concerns. I don't think it can be worse than what we had - and there will be more talent to work with.
Regardless, I think this is the most excited I've been about a season - and our overall trajectory - in about 10 years thanks, at least in part, to Ward.
