First let me say that it was difficult to evaluate JRE tonight. Olathe South's tallest player is 6'4", so they are height deficient. Maybe a little talent deficient also.
JRE was smooth around the basket with an array of moves. His jump shot is inconsistent. He will need to get a lot stronger to play on the block at the next level. I did like his demeanor. Obviously he got all of South's defensive attention and he never got frustrated or out of kilter when getting bumped and pushed by multiple defenders.
Clearly his best basketball is ahead of him. If we are fortunate enough to get him, I would be very happy. But he may not make the immediate impact some may expect of a 5-star recruit.
