Watched the OSU game last year, and I feel better about this team

I'm right here
Just watched last year's OSU game. OSU came out strong, but by the mid-second half they quit because we were physically abusing them on both sides of the ball. Their QB had a bad day, but much of that was coverage schemes and pressure. Skylar didn't had a great day throwing, but we ran all over them.

I've been worried about how the transition this year will play out. But this game encouraged me because a lot of the pieces will still be in place.

Things that should be ok this season:

--Oline pushed OSU off the LOS almost every run play and kept the pocket clean. We are so much better a drive blocking than the dancing we do on read option.

--The Dline more than held its own. OSU just couldn't run the ball on us.

Changes I hope for:

--Skylar is a better scrambler than read option runner. Also is decisive on bootleg runs. I never understood why we didn't bootleg more.
--Skylar can throw on the run--again bootlegs should be a part of our offense
--Dropped passes by Zuber, Reuter and Harris. Schoen didn't play. I think we return better receivers than what we had this day.

--AJ Parker bad game--bad angles and losing his man in coverage because he watches the QB. I worry if he is our top DB this year.

Our returning starters will be better, but 4 guys that will be tough to replace
--Shelly was awesome. We're going to miss him. He was inside Wallace's shirt and head the whole game. Many breakups and 2 interceptions--could have had 4.
--Risner pancaked guys all day. He once pulled from Right Tackle and LED a sweep left!
--Barnes was a man among boys this day. Ran like a first-round pick.
--Hughes making all the tackles.
