It has just occurred to me that Bill Snyder is to football what the legendary Henry Iba was to basketball. this was before the shot clock was implemented. If "Hank" got a 4 point lead on you in the first minutes of the game, you had to really play defense or you wouldn`t gert the ball again. His guys would only shoot layups after a series of passes. It was not unusual to see a 26 for 32 field goal stat with 30 for 32 free throws. The difference is that "Hank" used passes to stall while Bill uses Runs to accomplish the same thing. Both hall of Fame coaches.
