Way OT:Geothermal

Building a house this spring and thinking of going with geothermal. Live in a rural area and wondering if I can get local electric/plumbing company to do it or if I need to go with a company that specializes in geothermal and HVAC systems?
Just curious on other kstaters experience with geothermal.
