A couple of days ago Ayoka Lee (6' 5" from Minnesota) announced via Twitter that she would attend K-State in the 2018-2019 class. This announcement comes only a few days after Christianne Carr (formerly of Minnesota, now living in Manhattan after he dad joined the basketball staff for the women's team), declared her intent to attend K-State. I wonder if Chrissy was involved in the recruiting of Ayoka? They were both invited to the U16 National Team trials in Colorado Springs (May, 2015). As is the tradition of Coach Mittie's "bigs," Ayoka also played volleyball. I think that it is interesting that in her photo with K-State coaches, she is wearing a K-State jersey with number 22. That is Bri Lewis's current number. With two 6' 4" post players in next year's recruiting class, the Wildcats are trying to fill the positions of outgoing Lewis and Sheble, Young (who evidently will never play for the 'Cats again), and the prematurely departed Hooper, who at 6' 6" rode the bench on the volleyball team this year. Do you remember not long ago when K-State was playing very well down the stretch with only 7 scholarship players and no one over 5' 11"? You can't win championships without a few decent "bigs," and though they're not as big as the Baylor and Oklahoma post players, they're plenty big.
