Jeff Mittie met with the media today and offered updates on center Ayoka Lee and guard Taryn Sides, who missed the 'Cats game against Belmont with injuries.
Mittie said he feels pretty good about both of them playing against Creighton but mentioned that Lee is further ahead than Sides. The full quote is as follows:
"I think so. Lee's a bit further ahead than Sides. Sides, we've tried to keep controlled contact a little bit, so Lee's further head.
Lee really hasn't had any restrictions other than just not wanting to go too long with her. But with a veteran, you don't have to. It's not like she needs the reps. She needs a few reps. I feel good about both of them, but Lee's further ahead than Sides."
If Sides is unable to play, I expect Mittie to run a similar rotation to the Belmont game on Thursday. Effectively, Jaelyn Glenn, Serena Sundell, and Temira Poindexter would see increased playing time without the guard depth.
