And now, I'm good for another year... We beat the jerks.
We have a great coach and staff, and their team beat the Jayhawks. What else is there? My loathing for KU has flourished like a fine red aging over the years, and when you get down the road, you'll know what I mean. It is everything that we beat them, no matter the final score.
Is it, by the way, not a tad disrespectful to describe a Hall-of-Fame coach in such harsh terms as many here have done? Is it not ungenerous and ungracious for some to do so? He's a winner, and as far as I am concerned Coach Snyder can remain at the helm as long as he likes. I hope he does not retire until I finally succumb to remarkable single malt scotch.
Most of us old guys feel this way simply because we once sat in the stands--loyally, year after year-- and witnessed our 'Cats beaten time and again. But no longer, thanks to Coach Bill Snyder.
In other words, please be grateful (and respectful) to the man who just won 200 games at Kansas State, our school.
Now, to a bowl game. And accompanied by a real pretty lady who will come along and cheer, just to please me.
