I'm on the fence. I will support new AD's decision (or the acting AD's decision).
Why?
Weber exceeded expectations and got K-State back to the dance.
No school has every fired a coach after getting his team to the NCAA tourney after a 2 year or longer absence.
Having said this, 'IF" K-State believes they have a can't miss hire, by all means fire Weber and go with a new coach. The problem, who is this coach? Tons of openings.
And for the love of Willie, do NOT hire a coach that has been fired = Tom Crean (= Bruce Weber).
For f#ck sakes, if Crean can't win at Indiana, how is he going to win at K-State? I'm sure there are Indiana fans, who have a lot of the same feeling as Illinois fans have about Weber. And there is something about him that rubs me wrong. I would take Jankovich in a second over Crean.
It has been 3 weeks and K-State has yet to hire a new AD. Not saying the hire should be rushed, but I believe the new AD should make the call on Weber (unless K-State has identified a "can't miss" hire, who wants to coach at K-State).
If I was forced to bet a paycheck, I would bet on Weber being back next season.
GO STATE !
