Bruce Weber Recruits:
DJ Johnson - played as a sub for two seasons before a devastating foot injury. Has averaged 2.9 points and 3 rebs per game so far in career.
Michael Orris - transferred to N. Illinois after one season on the bench at KSU.
Neville Fincher - Did not qualify
Marcus Foster - One of the best Freshmen in the nation and is now dismissed form the team.
Wesley Iwundu - Two year starter. "Glue Guy". Has averaged 6.2ppg, 3.9 reb/g, and 1.9 apg.
Nigel Johnson - Sub with a few starts. Is now rumored to be off of the team. Has averaged 4.6 ppg, 1.6 rpg, and 1.7 apg.
Jack Karapetyan - Injured for most of his Wildcat career he is now off of the team.
Jevon Thomas - Starter for most of this season. Was not very good. He is now off of the team.
Justin Edwards - Transfer from Maine. Was supposed to bring immediate scoring and athleticism averaged 6.3 ppg this season with a FG% below 40%.
Brandon Bolden - Transfer from Georgetown. He has not been able to get on the court. Averages less than a point a game.
Stephen Hurt - JUCO transfer that had high praise. He averaged 4.2 ppg as a Jr.
Malek Harris - Big name recruit from last season. Averaged 2.1 ppg as a Freshmen.
Tre Harris - Sharp shooter that was not athletic. He is now off of the team.
In his first three seasons Weber has signed 13 players. Of these 13 players only 6 or 7 will be on the roster next season. None of the players that left did so because of graduation or leaving early for the draft. Of the players remaining only two have averaged over 6 points per game in a season and none of them have averaged over 7 points per game. Weber has signed one star in three years and he was dismissed from the team after his Sophomore year.
The lack of quality evaluations and/or player development over the past three years has me very concerned about our ability to succeed over the rest of Weber's tenure.
Something is going to have to change.
