1) Oklahoma - Went into the Horseshoe tonight and dominate Ohio State. The game was not as close as the score indicated. Several Sooner miscues in tOSU territory kept it close in the first half. Baker Mayfield has had an impressive start to his Heisman Campaign: 46-55, 715 yards, 6 TDs, 0 INTs and a Top 5 road victory. Next up: Tulane, Last Week: #2

2) Oklahoma St. - Had a solid blow out win on the road against the South Alabama Jaguars of the Sun Belt. S. Alabama went 6-6 last season and made a bowl appearance, which they lost. They took care of business and did what they were supposed to do. Interesting Note = Preseason All Big 12 Running Back, Justice Hill, struggled an the ground against the Jaguars. He had 11 carries for 27 yards. Next up: @ Pitt, Last Week: #1

3) TCU - I'll probably upset some Cats by placing TCU in front of them, but at this point in the season they deserve it. They pitched a shutout in week 1 against a bad FCS team and only allowed 7 points this week on the road against a solid SEC opponent. The TCU defense is playing really well. I am not sold on the Horned Frog offense, but you can't argue the results. TCU has the conferences 2nd best win at this point in the season. Next up: SMU, Last Week: #4

4) Kansas St. - Blow out victory over Charlotte. The defense had two scores which helped trigger the route, but the game was never in question. The running game came alive this week. 51 carries for 304 yards and 5 rushing TDs. They did everything they needed to do, but still have not played a meaningful opponent. That changes next week. Next up: @ Vandy, Last Week: #3

5) Texas Tech - I had them at #5 last week and they didn't play this week. There are still ??? with the Raiders, but they looked good (even the defense) in a week 1 win over FCS E. Washington. Next up: Arizona St., Last Week: #5

6) West Virginia - Maybe they should jump in front of the Red Raiders, but i want another game to evaluate before I do it. They took care of business this week against East Carolina. A couple of years ago ECU was a team to be feared, but they are now 3-11 under their current HC. Next up: Delaware St, Last Week: #6

7) Iowa State - The Cyclones fell in OT this week to their instate rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa is receiving votes in both polls and is expected to be a pretty solid team this season. The Cylones went toe-to-toe with Iowa and equaled them in all phases of the game. They are showing improvement. Next up: @ Akron, Last Week: #7

8) Texas - It is a long road back from losing at home to Maryland. The Horns got started this week with a convincing 56-0 victory over the San Jose St. Spartans. It is especially impressive because they were without their regular starting QB, Shane Beuchele. The Horns rolled up 406 yards rushing against the hapless Spartans. Things will get much more difficult next week as they move from Spartans to Trojans. Next up: @ USC, Last Week: #9

9) Kansas - They were home favorites today against the C. Michigan Chippewas, but they sure didn't look like it losing 45-27. The Jayhawks gave up nearly 600 yards and 45 total points to Central Michigan. Last week C. Michigan only scored 30 in an OT win over Rhode Island. The KU defense is bad and their offense is turnover prone. It will be a long season, but at least they are not Baylor. Next up: @ Ohio, Last Week: #8

10) Baylor - Lost to Liberty at home last week. This week it was a home loss to the University of Texas San Antonio Road Runners 17-10. Anu Solomon was terrible tonight throwing the ball, 10-26, 121 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Baylor was once a powerful offensive juggernaut, but tonight they failed to break 300 yards of total offense against a poor CUSA team. The Bears might not win a game this season. Next up: @ Duke, Last Week: #10
