Kindred Wesemann has been added as an assistant coach to Jacie Hoyt's staff at UMKC.
Hoyt:
“I am confident that Kindred's success as a player, paired with her ability to connect with young women, will impact our player development and recruiting efforts tremendously. She was one of the most well-respected players in the country in her time playing for me at Kansas State, and she knows what it takes to build a successful culture both on and off of the court.
“As a standout player and team captain, she was fiery, passionate and one of the best leaders I have ever had the privilege to coach. I am thrilled for our players to have her as a role model.”
Wesemann:
“The opportunity to come back home to Kansas City and continue building my relationship with Jacie is a dream come true. I know what it takes to turn a program around and I am very excited to help build a championship mentality within the UMKC women's basketball program.”
