1. Life after Baker Mayfield For OU
Oklahoma was probably a Baker Mayfield away from an 8-9 win season. Offense will still be explosive and I have them as the favorite for the conference. But Mike Stoops is still the defensive coordinator.
2. Will West Virginia Get Over The Hump?
Although they accomplished a 10 win season and 3rd place (Tied for 2nd) finish in 2016, West Virginia overall has been average. The pieces are there, but can Dana Holgerson finally get them to the top of the conference?
3. How much will Texas improve?
Last season what the first winning season for Texas since 2013. Granted it was a 7-6 season with a bowl win. Texas returns some good players on defense, it's just a matter if the offense gets going. It's not a make or break season, unless it's a losing season, but it's only a matter of time when they wake up again.
4. Will Baylor Be The Most Improved Teams Based On Wins?
They finished 1-11 last season. Wouldn't be surprised if they make a bowl this season.
5. Can Iowa State Make Back-To-Back Bowls?
Iowa State was a weird team last season, boasting wins over both TCU & Oklahoma. They finished off the season by beating then #20 Memphis in Memphis's own stadium for the Liberty Bowl. Kyle Kempt returns as well as David Montgomery for the offense. Matt Campbell might have enough to make postseason again. If they do, especially if they match or improve on wins, it will be interesting what HC offers Matt Campbell gets.
