I don't think any of us would argue that we find ourselves in a "what have you done for me lately?" society.
I also don't think any of you would argue that the standard many of us want for our KSU MBB team is to compete in the upper third of the conference yearly and go to the tournament consistently where we make noise ever couple of years.
In addition, I don't think any of you would argue the easiest recipe for success to make those standards attainable is to win almost all of your home games and roughly half of your road games. KU does that year in and year out. It's a proven formula.
Furthermore, I don't think any of you can argue that Weber sucks on the road - 29-66 on the road in conference games and one tournament win in the last 10 years. Let that sink in. Seriously.
Finally, I don't think any of you can argue that Bruce needs a stable of talented, self-motivated upperclassmen to be successful. His best teams reflect this.
I love what Bruce does at home. I love the players he is bringing in. But he doesn't win on the road, and in year four, he hasn't kept the talented players necessary to develop into upperclassmen.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how we finish this year and super pumped for next year. Like I said, I love the players. But can Bruce keep them, keep them invested, and develop them?
