Too lazy to go back and look at the play to be sure, but at the time it seemed to me that he just threw the ball way up into the air toward the sideline. We had players sort of close and he didn't. What if someone was close or awake or quick and went in for a quick 6? Then this board would really light up when they called the play dead.
