Hear me out on this. The team was up 21-3. Skylar wasn't playing at a heisman level either. Suddenly weird shit happens. Skylar goes down, emotions flare, a pick 6 and fumble by deuce, people panic, offense stalls and so on. Staff goes conservative, leans on the defense and guts out a W. Howard obviously isn't very good but what if it's young men getting a crap load of adversity at once playing against the possible FCS national champions. What if this team is actually, pretty solid and crap snow balled and they survived. I'm not excusing the staff or Howards play but what if it was more the circumstances than the weaknesses?
