ku has had many seasons under Self where they "seem" vulnerable in conference, then they have that one game that seems to wake them up and play to potential and their season turns around.
that one game usually seems to be a highly emotional, high intensity, we WANT to win game that seems to bring them together and suddenly playing the rest of the season like you would expect a bunch of 4 and 5 stars to play.
In past years I would suggest it has been the January encounter with K State. The last 3 years at least, it seems we have played ku in the first 5 games of the conference. I admit, in many of those ku seemed to be "struggling" coming into it giving me hope K State may beat them only to have ku tromp that hope into huge frustration.
However this YEAR, I think Kentucky gave them that turn around game.....unfortunately. My hopes are not high going into Lawrence on Wednesday, and am thankful that are home game is a little further out.
I am betting Kamau does not play, which makes me worry what the final score may be on Wednesday even more.
