It sure looks like Jesse will be the starter, Game 1, and I suspect for the season. Indeed, I expect him to be a three-year starter, but that's another thread.
For now, I'm just curious what people expect from an offense with Ertz under center?
What is the run/pass ratio?
How many times per game will Ertz carry the ball?
Who will be his favorite target? How will we spread it around? Will we get the TEs.H-Back/FB more involved in the passing game than most K-State teams have, or the same, or less?
What is our YPA and YPC?
Your predictions?
Also, a plea: be patient with the guy. PLEASE. He will throw picks. He will get sacked. We will not always score when we need to. He is a first-time starter. Give him some time before calling for Delton, or Banks, or anyone else. If they were under center, they would have growing pains, too, while gaining experience. In fact, they would almost certainly have MORE (especially Delton, and Banks). If Ertz is our guy, let's try not to repeat the fans' contribution to dividing the team, as happened two years ago when Jake beat out Daniel for the job. As some GPC staff have finally alluded to, that locker room was VERY divided, and there is absolutely NOTHING healthy about that, and it does not help if fans are...fanning the flames. Not saying no discussion, comment, etc. Just urging consideration for tone...and maybe a little restraint.
