Colorado State has a football program that should have moved to the next level along time ago, but has not.
Sonny Lubick coached there from from 1993 - 2007, winning 108 games, attending 9 bowls, winning 6 conference titles, contending for the Top 25 most years. CSU has won 25 games the past 3 seasons under 2 coaches with a bowl game coming up.
They are building a 41,000 seat stadium.
I drove by their stadium a few years ago. Hughes Stadium seats 32,500. Their parking lots are grass, worse than ours before Wefald.
Ft. Collins is a 1 hour drive from Denver.
What is it with Colorado State? Why did not they expand their stadium during the Lubick years? Are they the unwanted stepchild in Colorado next to CU?
TIA
