on rather or not the Legend is coming back for another season ?
I know that there are some that would like to see the Legend retire.
Given the FACT that the CATS exceeded pre-season expectations this season, if the Legend wants to coach another year, I'm good with it.
Again, I realize that there is vocal group of posters that want to see a change... I guess we can agree to disagree for now.
I'm just curious when an announcement will come.
Before the Bowl Game ?
Shortly after the bowl game (I believe this was the case last year)?
Before the end of January ?
After Signing Day ?
I don't believe waiting until after signing day is the right thing to do (just doesn't feel right).
For this reason, "IF" coach is retiring, I would expect an announcement shortly before or after the bowl game, which would give K-State a couple of weeks to hire a new coach. The new coach would have 2 or 3 weeks to try to piece together a recruit class (keep any commits that would stay and add some late additions).
"IF" there is NO official announcement by the end of the first week in January, I believe it's a strong indication that the Legend is coming back for another season.
One theory has the Legend announcing that he's coming back for another year and then weeks before next season, Coach announces that he's retiring effectively immediately in hopes that his son, Sean, would be given the interm role for a season. A chance to win the job.
I'm not saying that I believe this... I'm just saying I've heard this theory.
Rather there is some actual credence to the theory or not, an announcement rather Coach is staying for another year or retiring, still has to come in the not so distant future.
Heck who knows, maybe the Legend will be back for 2 or 3 more season. If Fitz would predict that Snyder is coming back for another season, he would probably retire..ha ha.
