The 501c3 incorporation legislation was introduced into law by Senator LBJ in 1954. It gave nonprofits tax exempt status but churches couldn't discuss "politics" from the pulpit or lose that status. Heaven forbid a church call abortion for what it is or call sodomy a sin! Those are now political issues.
Once the totalitarian regime(probably UN) is finished with the pesky Christians that want to take away everybodys' freedom of doing whatever feels good, they will come for the pseudo, intellectual progressives who want to score 3 talking points a day railing about whatever political party is in power.
