Now after the game is over and it’s been analyzed and discussed I haven’t seen anything on who’s actually the better team? I haven’t watched a lot of KU basketball but I was told today by someone that does that Saturday was probably KU’s best played game of the year, and I’d guess outside of the ISU game it was K-States best overall game. So I’d say teams are pretty even, biggest advantage is KU’s coaching Self knew exactly what K-State was going to do defensively on KU’s last possession of each half, cost K-State 5 points and KU knew what K-State was trying to run with 15 seconds left, more so than K-State knew or so it appeared. Let’s look at talent I’d take Diarra over Garrett any day of the week 2 freshman guards, I’d take Sneed over Lightfoot 2 sophomore forwards. KU advantage Azubuike over Maiwien. Juniors I’m throwing Newman in as a junior along with 23 year old Vick vs Brown, Stokes and Wade (the best player on the court Saturday) Big advantage KSU. KU’s 2 seniors Graham and Mikaluk of course give them a wide advantage on experience but not so much on talent. Other freshman Desousa vs Love and Stockard so far unknown. Wainwright and Patrick don’t offer a great deal for KSU nor does the Arizona State transfer for KU, and it really doesn’t matter on Preston cause it’s pretty evident he’s not going to play. K-State isn’t far off being more talented than KU, when was the last time you could even think that.
