These are players I believe would merit interest from the Cats and may have made an appearance at a summer camp had they been allowed. None hold offers from KState and many hold few if any D1 offers. I tried to stay within recruiting areas the Cats have had success with.

Trying to identify prospects that are currently unknown that under normal circumstances perhaps would garner more attention and perhaps offers. Perhaps some are old school KState prospects, waiting on strong senior tape to garner offers.

Cashius Howell, DE, Rockhurst (6-3/ 215)
Plays both end and receiver. Good size, length and explosion as an edge player, similar in size to Wyatt Hubert at this point. Offers some good positional versatility and could be an intriguing defensive end prospect. Certainly has a frame that appears capable of adding weight. Also plays basketball. Has FCS and MAC level offers currently.

Will Lee, LB, Kirkwood (MO) (6-2/ 185)
Similar to Howell in that he plays both receiver and linebacker/pass rusher. Has offers from both Iowa schools and multiple non P5 level schools. Impressive defender, I’m curious if he wants to play offense. If he will play linebacker, could be a fit for the Cats.

Kalin Black, WR, Living Word (MO) (6-2/ 190)
Wondering if his recruiting would have blown up had visits been able to happen. A lot of interest from major programs, but no offers. A nice combination of size and speed at the receiver position.

Rajon Hill, CB, Hogan Prep (MO) (6-2/ 170)
Currently committed to Toledo, the KC product has nice length and ability to find the ball on defense. Also plays receiver, has good hands and long arms. Shows an ability and willingness to help in run game. Very similar body size to current offer Cam Smith. I am curious about his long speed.

KyJuan Phillips, OG, Dr Phillips (FL) (6-4/ 285)
Currently plays tackle for his school in Orlando. Probably would play guard for the Cats. Nasty run blocker who loves to put defenders on the ground, he’s good but not great in his pass block sets but can move on the edge can can block in space. Has offers from Pitt and numerous non P5 programs it appears.

Austin Dean, LB, Berkley Prep (FL) (6-2/ 215)
Cats under Klieman have offered players from this school every year. Currently plays a pass rushing end but likely a linebacker. Does a lot of things well, though nothing great. Does appear to be a solid tackler and can move laterally. Recently committed to Rutgers

Tae’Quan Johnson, WR, Ocoee (FL) (6-3/ 195)
Big, quick receiver in the mold, a bit, like Malik Knowles or James Terry. Lined up both in the slot and outside at receiver, displays an ability to get down the field and can catch. Also a want and willingness to run block. Holds offers from Indiana and Louisville and basically every Sun Belt team.

Jacob Merrifield, DT, Winder Barrow (GA) (6-3/ 260)
Similar type player to current Cat target Brayden Wood. Displays good burst with quickness and strength from the defensive interior. Does not hold many offers (Navy perhaps the best) but could see his offer list get better through a strong senior season.

Christian Wigfield, OT, Hapeville Charter (GA) (6-7/ 270)
Massive tackle prospect from the Atlanta area, plays both offensive and defensive tackle, and moves well for his size. Also plays basketball. Has some power. Another player I believe would have seen recruitment take off had summer visits not been shut down.

Bryce Fleetwood, WR, Parkview (GA) (6-3/ 185)
Best player, by far, listed on this. In my opinion, a future pro. Looks like OU’s CeeDee Lamb from last season a bit. Explosive and fast with good routes and strong hands. In my opinion, could be an immediate type player if the bigger schools don’t get involved. Holds offers from Tennessee and Virginia.

ZaBrien Harden, LB, Swainsboro (GA) (6-3/ 210)
Middle linebacker type certainly looks the part of a linebacker and is a solid tackler. As with most linebackers, much quicker and decisive coming forward as opposed to playing in space. However, can drop in coverage, is a solid tackler. Holds an offer from KU and some Sun Belt level programs.

Moses Oladejo, LB, Cosumnes Oaks (CA) (6-2/ 225)
Plays both tight end and linebacker, and has good athleticism for both positions, though his future certainly appears on defense. A solid tackler and moves well for his size. Could eventually perhaps be moved to defensive end. Holds offers from Arizona, Kansas and a slew of Mountain West programs. A favorite of mine.

Jymetrie Hester, WR, Miss. Gulf Coast CC (MS) (5-10/ 160)
Dynamic playmaker at the receiver position, good speed and good route runner. Treat both receiving the ball and returning kicks. Instant impact as a freshman at the JUCO level. Immediate impact potential at the position. Dynamic playmaker. 48 catches/ 657 yards/ 10 TD’s as true freshman.

Cameron Wynn, WR, NW Miss CC (MS) (5-10/ 165)
Highly recruited out of high school, Florida, Tennessee, and Notre Dame among the offers. Ended up at JUCO. Fast with a good burst and runs good routes. Could see immediate playing time in Manhattan. Returned kicks as well. 18 catches for 326 yards and 3 TD’s as a true freshman. KState assistant Taylor Godinet follows on twitter.

Kevon Cloyd, LB, Jones College CC (MS) (6-2/ 215)
Doesn’t have the power previous Cat commit Deshawn Page but is quick and fast with good size for the linebacker position. Appears to read and react well, moves laterally quickly in passing situations. Was used as a safety in situations. Likely to be an in demand player by signing day. Holds offer from Arizona and a slew of non P5 schools currently.

Dedrrick Holmes, LB/S, Ventura College (CA) (6-3/ 220)
Played both safety and linebacker as a true freshman. Has good speed and quickness. Could be a good fit in a pass happy conference with experience in coverage as well as experience rushing the passer, tackling near the line of scrimmage. Originally from Georgia.
