Since we're having these little listings, and rankings. I did this in another thread, but I'm genuinely curious as to what other people's choices would be. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them except... well.. lol. The guy we currently have. I shake my head in misery knowing that there are 5 either current, or former K-State coaches still active at the high major level.. and the one we have is Bruce Weber. Anyway, I digress before I get too negative. If you could rank them based on your preference if you could take any one of them right now to lead K-State once again, how would they stack up? This is my order of preference, though the top 3 are really really close. And Frank isn't far, and I still feel sometimes like we haven't seen everything from Frank or even maybe Dana yet.
1. Dana Altman
2. Huggy Bear
3. Lon Kruger
4. Frank Martin
5. Bruce Weber
Obvioiusly you couldn't go wrong with any of the top 3. The fourth is still a bit of a wild card sometimes, IMO. Yet Coach Martin could end up with a couple national championships yet at some point. So could Dana. So could any of them, well. Except Bruce Weber IMO. I know we have him for at least another year, and this is an exercise in futility. But I still find it interesting to see people's perspectives on who of the current active coaches would, in their opinion, give us the best chance to be successful.
