First of all, it's too bad that Daniel Sams didn't stick it out at K-State. Without out a doubt, Daniel would be our best option at QB right now by a mile.
As it is, I would like to think that Kody Cook is getting a lot of snaps at QB in practice this week.
As for next season:
Jesse Ertz ? The biggest question about Jesse, can he stay healthy.
Was is a freak play or will Jesse have a hard time staying healthy in a Bill Snyder offense (of course in college, most QBs run some).
Alex Delton ? Though Alex was hurt on a freak play out of bounds, you gotta wonder if he can hold up as well. Alex would bring athleticism to the table.
Jonathan Banks ? A complete unknown. He is suppose to be very athletic. Jonathan wasn't recruited out of high school as a QB. He had good numbers at Juco, but he played in a "C" juco league ... some of the teams he faced, I have never heard of. And if the coaches thought Banks was ready, he would be playing right now.
Skylar Thompson ? Would LCBS start a true freshman ?
The #4 rated dual threat QB in the 2016 class would have to be a consideration.
Is Skylar graduating high school this December ?
Hubener ? If Bazooka Joe is starting next season, it likely will not be pretty. Joe gives it his all, but he doesn't appear to have "it".
One thing is for sure, the position will be wide open going into the Spring.
