A full page article in the San Diego Union Tribune Monday on football recruiting using Rivals data. Written by Eddie Brown.

For the ten years between 2006 and 2015 which states the number of Top 100 Recruits came from, and how many played in those states:

SEC states [overlap with ACC] produced............... 408..............458 played in those states
Pac Twelve states produced.....................................178.............195 played in those states
Big Ten states produced...........................................172..............183 played in those states
Big Twelve states produced......................................145..............127 played in those states

The author's conclusion was that's why the South has produced nine of ten NC's. The tenth was taken by Ohio State. On its own, Ohio produced 40 Top 100 recruits, and 51 played there.

Alabama produced 49 Top 100 recruits, and 109 [!!!] played there.
